What’s on the Other Side of the Ocean?

Just in time for an upcoming long weekend at the beach, I came across this simple map that shows what distant land you’re looking at when you look out at the horizon.

It’s interesting to think about where you would end up if you walked into the surf and swam straight until you hit land again (says the woman who rarely ventures deeper than chest-high water unless there’s a boat involved).

Looks like Morocco and I will be checking each other out from afar later this month. What will you be looking at on your next beach visit?
