Living in Florida, this is the time of year when we have to keep a weather eye on the tropics. So it’s not unusual at all to have a few “areas of interest” floating around at the same time.
It is however very unusual to potentially have two hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico at the same time – so unusual in fact that it’s never happened before.
As if that wasn’t enough, Laura and Tropical Depression 14 (aka, Marco) might end up tag-teaming the Gulf Coast by making landfall within an hour of each other in the same general area.

Never ones to pass up good hurricane memes, Floridians have embraced this unique event by mocking up a Publix ad. Who doesn’t love a good Publix BOGO? 😆 In this case though, I’ll pass.
